“Empty Knowledge”, 2017-2018

This series of works is a continuation of the “Empty Knowledge” project. The first series (2011–2012, acrylic, gouache, ink on canvas) is in the collection of Gazprombank and was presented at group exhibitions at the Albertina Museum (Vienna, 2013), at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (2014) and at MAMbo Bologna (2018). The second series (2012–2014, oil, ink on canvas) is in numerous private Russian and US collections; in the collections of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, and the V-A-C Foundation. It was presented at a solo exhibition at Christie’s Moscow (2017); at numerous group exhibitions in New York; and a group exhibition at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (2018). The third part of the project presented here (2017–2018, oil, ink on canvas) is in several private Russian and US collections, and was included in group exhibitions at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise (New York, 2018) and the Lenfest Center (New York, 2018).
