ALEXANDER POVZNER was born in 1976 in Moscow, Russia. Lives and works in Moscow.
Studied at Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (sculpture department) and the Surikov Art Institute, Moscow (sculpture department), graduated from ICA, Moscow (2009).

Alexander Povzner usually works on his meditative installations in a quiet studio with natural light. Trained in both traditional sculpture and conceptual art, he sees himself as working at the intersection of the two oppositional approaches.
